High Waisted Jeans: DIY Alterations

Hello! So I know it’s been a while, but today I’m going to show you how I altered some high waisted jeans to fit perfectly! It is super simple. Here we go:

This is how they fit when I bought them. They were new, tags and all, from Salvation Army for only 3 dollars!!

(sorry for the blurry picture)

To start off, I put the jeans on inside out and believe it or not, it IS quite difficult to button them up!

Then, I just pinned down the side seams so that the jeans fit the way I wanted them to. . .IMG_7344

and sewed down the side of the jeans, following the pins. — I learned the method from The Vault Files blog.

The End Result:

I love the way they turned out! I might even turn them into shorts for spring and summer. (if this cold ever goes away!!) It was super simple and I’ve done it to many of my pants. If you try it, I hope it works out! Good luck my friends!
